To review, or not to review. That is the question. In our experience many clients review their agencies simply by putting the account up for pitch (see Finding the right agency). But this is a time consuming and often costly exercise. And it is certainly not the best of way getting more out of your current agencies.

Client/agency relationships are vital to the success of any marketing agenda but they are also fragile and need to be looked after. Has the honeymoon period cooled? Is the agency taking the client for granted? Or overcharging? Is the client running the agency ragged on their current financial terms? Perhaps the chemistry between certain individuals is not what it might be. Often there is a mismatch of expectations.
